Gleiss Lutz appoints new partners and counsel

Gleiss Lutz has announced the appointment of two new partners with effect from 1 January 2025: Dr. Christine Mattes (Stuttgart) and Dr. Andrea Preuße (Hamburg).

- Dr. Christine Mattes is an expert in regulatory compliance and public procurement. She advises clients on all aspects of implementing regulatory requirements and compliance obligations. Christine also has many years of experience in complex procurement projects, in particular in the energy & infrastructure and healthcare & life sciences sectors.

- Dr. Andrea Preuße advises domestic and international clients on complex matters of German and European competition/antitrust law. Andrea is an expert in defending companies in international cartel cases and has longstanding experience in assisting clients in civil antitrust damages proceedings throughout Germany and across multiple jurisdictions. She worked at the firm’s London office for several years, where she obtained a particular expertise in managing antitrust and antitrust damages proceedings in the United Kingdom. She also regularly advises on merger control proceedings and compliance issues.

The following lawyers have been named counsel with effect from 1 January 2025:

- Dr. Christoph Auchter (Frankfurt) assists clients on national and cross-border M&A transactions, corporate law and employee share purchase programmes.

- Katrin Braas (Frankfurt) advises on individual and collective employment law, particularly in connection with compliance projects, internal investigations and complex corporate reorganisations.

- Christian Eulenpesch (Stuttgart) advises on intellectual property and IT law and on M&A transactions, transitional services and the structuring and negotiation of IT and AI contracts.

- Dr. Jan-David Geiger (Stuttgart) specialises in advising listed companies on stock corporation and corporate groups law. He also assists clients with corporate law aspects of general meetings, supervisory board issues, and represents clients in litigation.

- Aylin Hoffs (Düsseldorf) focuses on public law M&A transactions and regulatory compliance. She specialises in export control and sanctions, foreign investment control, and subsidies and environmental law.

- Dr. Michael Rickert (Frankfurt) advises clients on restructuring and insolvency law with a focus on financial restructuring, insolvency-related corporate law, distressed M&A and insolvency litigation.

- Dr. Laura Roßmann (Stuttgart) focuses on national and international antitrust fine proceedings, merger control proceedings, and private antitrust damages proceedings.

- Dr. Tanja Rudnik (Düsseldorf) advises companies on individual and collective employment law with a focus on healthcare and the public sector.

- Moritz Stilz (Stuttgart) specialises in cross-disciplinary advice on product compliance, cybersecurity and digital transformation and on the use of artificial intelligence in a corporate setting.

- Kristina Winkelmann (Brussels) advises on European competition/antitrust, state aid, and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation and represents Asian clients in particular.
