Marcus advises on compliance & investigations as well as complex civil litigation. He regularly assists companies facing compliance crises, and conducts cross-border internal investigations, advising on their impact. Marcus has extensive experience in coordinating with regulatory and investigating authorities as well as parliamentary inquiry committees in Germany and abroad. Marcus further specialises in strategic compliance advice as well as setting-up, implementing and developing compliance and risk management structures.
Marcus studied at the universities of Freiburg (Breisgau), Munich and Passau. He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2013. In 2012 Marcus worked for an international law firm in Toronto (CA).
He is a member of the Institution of Arbitration e.V. (DIS) and the German Lawyers' Association (DAV).
