Gleiss Lutz has advised the media company We Are Era, a subsidiary of RTL Group, on its acquisition of 100 percent of the shares in the digital agency Social Match.
The acquisition will help We Are Era, an international company in the creator economy with 250 employees, strengthen its offering for advertisers in the German-speaking region and expand its influencer and community marketing.
Digital agency Social Match will become part of We Are Era, which has offices in six European markets. Social Match will gain access to the portfolio of We Are Era and its inhouse talent agency.
The Social Match team comprises more than 120 experts in areas such as influencer marketing, content creation, channel management and paid advertising.
The transaction is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
