Data Corporation on the takeover of a 72.9% shareholding in Cirquent GmbH, a subsidiary of the BMW Group. The transaction is still subject to approval by the competition authorities.
As listed subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), NTT Data offers a broad range of IT services, including consulting, systems integration and IT outsourcing. The transaction is a part of the internationalisation strategy that NTT Data is pursuing in an effort to service multinational clients from Japan and other countries. Cirquent GmbH is among the leading IT consulting and systems integration companies in Germany. With a workforce of 1747 it generated sales of EUR 286 million in 2007. Cirquent will continue to operate independently under its existing brand.
