Gleiss Lutz advised medatixx GmbH & Co KG, a company of the Merckle Group, on the acquisition of all shares in Softland GmbH. Softland will operate as a subsidiary of medatixx in the future.
Medatixx has more than 700 employees and offers software solutions for medical practices, ambulatory healthcare centres and outpatient clinics, as well as related services.
Softland, with registered offices in Magdeburg, Leipzig and Borna, has been active in the field of practice software for physicians in independent practice since 1992 and sells the practice software “Elaphe Longissima” (EL). The integration of Softland into medatixx will enable EL users to access medatixx’s broad spectrum of products and services and guarantee them timely technological updates of the practice programme.
