Michael is one of the leading partners in corporate law in Germany. His work focuses on advising on corporate governance issues, management and supervisory board matters as well as stock corporation and group law issues and compliance. Michael has been an honorary professor at the University of Tübingen since 2014. From 2016 to 2023 he was co-managing partner of the firm. Since 2024 he has been appointed as the firm's senior partner and chairman of the partnership council.

Vita

Michael studied law in Tübingen, Geneva and Heidelberg. He has been a partner at Gleiss Lutz since 2004. In 2001 Michael was seconded to a leading international law firm in New York.

Michael is, among other things, a member of the DAV's Commercial Law Committee and co-editor of the handbook Aufsichtsrat Goette / Arnold. His commentaries include the Munich Commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act, the Large Commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act and the Cologne Commentary on the German Stock Corporation Act. He is a member of the Corporate Law Association (VGR) and is also a permanent contributor to the law journal Die Aktiengesellschaft, AG-Report (Stock Corporation).

Michael speaks English, French and German.
