Johannes has extensive experience in the field of real estate law. He specialises in advising national and international clients on complex real estate deals, and has advised on numerous domestic and cross-border transactions as well as subsequent reorganisations and refinancings in this area. He has also handled a wide variety of matters concerning commercial leases, real estate financing as well as restructuring. He is Gleiss Lutz country relationship partner for the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Middle East.
He studied at universities of Bonn, Kiel, Paris and Charlottesville/Virginia (LL.M. 1994). He has been a partner at Gleiss Lutz since 2002. From 2000 to 2002 Johannes was the resident partner of the former Warsaw office of Gleiss Lutz.
Johannes is a certified administrative law attorney, a member of the German-American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV) as well as a member of the Legal Working Group, Central Real Estate Committee (ZIA) (chairman from 2008 to 2014).
