Gleiss Lutz has advised SCHÄFER Werke GmbH & Co KG, Stahl- und Kunststofftechnik on its acquisition of OKS Otto Knauf GmbH from Fidelium Partners. Following clearance by the Federal Cartel Office, the transaction closed this week.
The SCHÄFER Werke Group is 100% family-owned and has its registered office in Neunkirchen, in the Siegerland region of North Rhine-Westphalia. Active worldwide, the Group has diversified into a number of business areas, including its EMW Steel Service Centre, as well as Perforated Metal, Container Systems and Industrial Containers, and IT Systems and Operating Equipment.
With an eye on the future, this investment will strengthen SCHÄFER's EMW division, an independent steel service centre. EMW supplies the steel processing industry with coils and slit strips as well as cut-to-size and circular blanks.
Founded in 1952, OKS Otto Knauf GmbH is an independent steel service company with over 100 employees. Its registered office is in Iserlohn, also in North Rhine-Westphalia.
In future, OKS and EMW will act together as affiliated companies on the market.
