Gleiss Lutz advises on the sale of Germany’s largest privately owned ambulance service

G.A.R.D., Germany’s largest privately owned ambulance service, is to become part of the internationally operating Falck Group. Gleiss Lutz advised the shareholders of the G.A.R.D. Group extensively on the sale of the company. The transaction is subject to approval by the German cartel authorities.

With over 1,000 employees located at more than 40 sites in the Hamburg region as well as in Bremen, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saxony, G.A.R.D. responds to over 400,000 calls a year.

Headquartered in Denmark, the Falck Group is the largest ambulance service in Europe and the world’s largest private fire service, with a workforce of over 25,000.
