Gleiss Lutz has advised Robert Bosch GmbH in connection with the carve-out and sale of its brake components business. The purchaser is a subsidiary of AEQUITA SE & Co. KGaA (AEQUITA). Completion of the transaction is expected take place in the second quarter of 2024, subject to the approval of the relevant authorities.
The brake components division comprises Buderus Guss GmbH and Robert Bosch Lollar Guss GmbH. With around 900 employees at three locations in Germany, the brake components division is specialized in the manufacturing of coated high-performance brake discs for leading international OEMs.
Rainer Bischof and Daniel Hörner from Bosch Group's legal department were primarily responsible for the transaction.
