Gleiss Lutz has advised Karlsruhe-based InnoEnergy GmbH (InnoEnergy) on the sale of its shares in the smart home internet portal homeandsmart.de to Thüga Aktiengesellschaft, Munich (Thüga) and badenova AG & Co. KG, Freiburg im Breisgau (badenova). The two energy providers now have equal shares in the successful start-up.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
InnoEnergy, Thüga and badenova founded homeandsmart GmbH as a joint venture in 2017 and the company has become firmly established on the market. The platform is now the leading consumer portal for manufacturer-independent information about smart products and solutions for the home, averaging more than 1.2 million page views per month. The information provided in multimedia format comprises product tests and comparisons, including assessments and analyses. Homeandsmart.de wants to continue expanding its role as leading information platform for modern, sustainable networked living.
