North Africa

Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia are key German trading partners. Over a quarter of all German imports from the Arab world originate in Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia alone. The Maghreb countries are nevertheless also an important sales market. Furthermore, the number of joint ventures between companies based in Germany and companies based in the Maghreb is currently on the rise. Gleiss Lutz is active in this area.

We also have excellent relations with independent law firms throughout the region, such as with Gide, which has offices in Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia and is firmly established in the respective national markets.
