Xiao advises on national and European health law, in particular on statutory health insurance law, medical devices law, pharmaceutical law and medical law.
Xiao studied in Beijing and Berlin. Sie received a PhD in corporate law. From 2014-2016 she worked as a qualified Chinese lawyer for an international commercial law firm in Germany specializing in cross-border M&A transactions and corporate law. From 2016-2019 she served as legal counsel for a Chinese investment funds specializing in healthcare sector with headquarter in Beijing. As part of her legal clerkship, Xiao worked at the International Department of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Berlin and at the Higher Administrative Court Berlin-Brandenburg. In the meantime, she completed a part-time L.L.M in health law in Muenster. She has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2022.
