On November 8, 2007 in London, Gleiss Lutz received the Chambers Global Award as “German Law Firm of the Year”. Each year, Chambers and Partners –the publisher of “Chambers Global – The world's leading lawyers”, the most reputed of its kind in the Anglo-American legal market – confers these awards on leading law firms in various jurisdictions. After 2004, this is the second time Gleiss Lutz has received this international award recognising outstanding national and international legal advising.
This accolade by Chambers comes shortly after Gleiss Lutz was named law firm of the year in four categories by JUVE in late October 2007. These included “Law firm of the year for M&A” and “Law firm of the year for real estate and construction law”, as well as its ranking in the JUVE Handbook on Commercial Law Firms 2007/2008 as “Law firm of the year for real estate law” and as “Law firm of the year for patent law”.
