Gleiss Lutz has been named Korea Practice Foreign Law Firm of the Year for the second time at this year’s virtual ALB Korea Law Awards, after first receiving the award in 2018. This repeat win shows the strength of the renowned Asia desk, which – despite the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic – has established connections with leading Korean law firms and companies and has worked on Korean projects more in the past several months than ever before.
Dr. Michael Burian, M&A partner and head of the Asia desk: “We’re delighted to receive this award again. It is wonderful recognition of our work for Korean clients and for our German clients in Korea. Modern technology has been a great help to us in maintaining our close relations with Korea in the current situation – but we still look forward to being able to be there in person again soon.”
Now in their eighth year, the ALB Korea Law Awards – presented by Asian Legal Business – are among the most important such awards in Asia. ALB is a subsidiary of ThomsonReuters, a leading global provider of information for law, tax, and business. The company offers a broad spectrum of print and online publications, awards and conferences, providing information as well as business development and networking opportunities in the Asian legal market.
