Gleiss Lutz has advised the leading Swiss private equity investor Capvis on its acquisition of Koenig Verbindungstechnik AG

The Capvis-managed fund Capvis General Partner III Limited acquired Koenig Verbindungstechnik AG (KVT) from Klöckner & Co AG. Apart from the Swiss Koenig Verbindungstechnik AG and the German subsidiary Koenig Verbindungstechnik GmbH, the acquisition also included the subsidiaries in Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and the U.S. 

KVT is one of the leading suppliers of mechanical connecting systems und expander sealing plugs worldwide. It primarily supplies companies in the automobile and machine manufacturing, as well as the electric and electronic sectors. 

Lenz & Staehelin and Gleiss Lutz advised Capvis on Swiss, German, Czech and Polish law.  The overall transaction was coordinated by Lenz & Staehelin. The lead lawyers at Lenz & Staehelin were Dr. Rudolf Tschäni (partner) and Stephan Erni (both corporate/M&A). Dr. Patrick Hünerwadel (partner) and Veronika Nutt advised on the financing.
