Gleiss Lutz has appointed four new partners and two new counsel as of 1 January 2023. Dr. Anselm Christiansen (M&A, Stuttgart), Dr. Vanessa Rendtorff (M&A/Private Equity, Hamburg), Dr. Lennart Schramm (Corporate/Notary, Berlin) and Dr. Christoph Skoupil (White-Collar Crime/Compliance, Frankfurt) have been appointed partners. Josefine Chakrabarti (Employment, Berlin) and Friedrich Schlott (Restructuring, Stuttgart/Düsseldorf) have been appointed counsel.

In Transactions, Dr. Anselm Christiansen will strengthen the firm's M&A practice as a partner. He provides outstanding expertise in cross-border projects, especially those related to Asia. Dr. Vanessa Rendtorff will enhance the firm's Hamburg office as an M&A/Private Equity partner. She is an experienced expert in domestic and international private equity transactions and has longstanding experience in corporate/M&A matters. Gleiss Lutz is also expanding its Transactions practice with two new counsel: employment lawyer Josefine Chakrabarti advises on restructurings and transactions as well as in the area of new work/digital economy. Friedrich Schlott has for years worked closely on matters involving restructuring, insolvency-related corporate law and insolvency law.
Dr. Lennart Schramm will be a partner in the firm's Berlin office for the Advisory practice. He has extensive expertise as a notary and lawyer in venture capital, M&A and corporate law. Dr. Christoph Skoupil has also been appointed partner for the Advisory practice. He advises companies on all areas of white-collar crime and specialises in defending companies and advising them in cases involving criminal offences. His practice also focuses on internal investigations and providing criminal law compliance advice.
