In the most recent issue of the GCR 100, an annually published ranking of the leading competition practices, the prestigious British publication Global Competition Review named Gleiss Lutz one of the ten best cartel practices in the world. Gleiss Lutz is the only German law firm listed in the top ten. In its rating GCR emphasises “the amount of work Gleiss Lutz did around the world for many giants of German industry”.
This success illustrates that Gleiss Lutz continues to be involved in virtually all German and European antitrust cases. In 2013/2014 the firm advised leniency applicant voestalpine in the rail cartel, one of the largest cartel investigations in Germany, secured one of the highest fine reductions in recent years for the South African company Sasol before the General Court of the European Union, and successfully represented HeidelbergCement in pilot proceedings against antitrust class actions.
In 2013 German publisher JUVE named Gleiss Lutz “Law Firm of the Year for Competition/Antitrust” - as it had already done in 2010.
