Gleiss Lutz advises consortium led by Barclays Bank Ireland on EUR 250 million refinancing of Talanx

Gleiss Lutz has advised a consortium led by Barclays Bank Ireland PLC and seven other national and international banks on the refinancing of Talanx AG in the amount of EUR 250 million.

Talanx AG is one of the largest insurance group provider in Europe. The Hannover-based group is a multi-brand provider and active in more than 175 countries and has more than 23,000 employees worldwide. 

The facility in the amount of EUR 250 million has been provided both for general corporate purposes of the group, including possible acquisitions, and to secure long-term liquidity. The term of the new credit facility is five years, with the option of extending it twice for an additional year each time.
