In particular, he advises on Distressed M&A transactions, on in-court and out-of-court restructurings, on insolvency avoidance matters, on complex financial restructurings including bridge and turnaround financing as well as on insolvency-related corporate law.

Markus studied law at the Universities of Dresden and Giessen. He completed his LL.M. studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (U.S.A.) and received his doctorate in Munich. He joined Gleiss Lutz in 2023. Prior to that, he worked for several years as an attorney at a leading law firm in Frankfurt and Shanghai.

He is a member of TMA Deutschland e.V.
