Aike advises clients on all aspects of financial regulatory law, from the establishment of a bank or financial institution to its liquidation. He also advises on M&A transactions with financial institutions and group-wide restructurings. Aike previously worked in the European Central Bank’s Legal Department (Supervisory Law Division) and has extensive experience and expertise in dealing with national regulatory authorities such as the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) and the Bundesbank.

Vita

Aike studied law at the University of Passau and at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. (LL.M. 2019). He has been with Gleiss Lutz since 2023. He previously worked in the Legal Services (Supervisory Law Division) of the European Central Bank.
